Support Worker – Join Our Team

Location: Atherton, North Queensland
Starting Rate: $43.23/hr

Are you looking for a meaningful role where you can make a real difference? Tableland Community Link supports people with disabilities and mental illness in our community. We provide understanding, flexible, and empathetic support to our clients, and we are always looking for passionate support workers to join our team.

Qualifications are not necessary as we provide training, but some essentials are required.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support clients with their health, hygiene, and general well-being, including personal care

  • Assist clients to achieve their goals through their individual support plans

  • Perform household tasks with clients, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and assisting with bathing

  • Support clients to access their community and attend medical appointments

Essential Requirements

  • Current Disability Worker Screening Clearance Card and Blue Card (Working with Children) before commencing work

  • Senior First Aid and CPR qualifications

  • Access to a mobile phone

  • Current unrestricted Queensland Driver Licence and a registered, insured vehicle for work

  • Availability and willingness to work any day or time, including evenings, sleepovers, and weekends

  • Reliable, trustworthy, resilient, team player, self-confident, and empathetic

  • Physically able to perform duties such as assisting clients with mobility
